OmniTek to set new standard for monitoring at IBC

Leading, test and measurement manufacturer OmniTek will be showing a host of new products and features at IBC in Amsterdam this year, on its booth: 6.329.
Innovations include the new OmniTek TQ, a complete monitoring system for broadcast video and audio signals. In addition, it will reveal v2.0 of the XR dual-link and 2K waveform monitor designed specifically for post production environments as well as the latest updates to its real-time HD and SD picture quality analysis system OmniTek PQA and OmniTek LAB its integrated video toolkit for R&D engineers.
"The introduction of OmniTek TQ sets a new industry standard for video and audio monitoring,” states Roger Fawcett, OmniTek’s business director. “Major broadcasters such as the BBC and Technicolor have already been quick to order multiple systems."
For the first time, high-resolution waveform and vectorscope displays are integrated with comprehensive audio monitoring capabilities (including Dolby), teletext and closed caption decoding, error logging, A/V delay measurement and macroblock detection. All are contained in a single cost-effective package and touchscreen controls provide simple, flexible operation.
At IBC, OmniTek will also demonstrate v2.0 software for the revolutionary XR dual-link and 2k waveform monitor. Already the gold standard for post-production and DI users, the new v2.0 software takes the XR even further with features such as vectorscope zoom, split-mode waveform magnification, and full-resolution video proxy. Digital cinema customers will also welcome support for analysis of single- or dual-link signals in XYZ colour space.
The unique OmniTek PQA also gains significant new features in the v2.0 software. Automatic frequency response measurements, sub-pixel phase compensation, and greatly improved signal routing capabilities mean that the PQA remains the most advanced real-time HD and SD picture quality analysis system available today.
