TEKTRONIX ENABLES DIGITAL BROADCAST INNOVATION

AT IBC 2001 Tektronix will demonstrate its commitment to enabling customers to realise their vision of the digital broadcast future.
The global test, measurement, and monitoring company will exhibit the new PQM100 Programme Quality of Service Monitor and the first fruits of the company’s recent acquisition of Adherent, including an innovative MPEG test analysis system.
The WFM700 family of flexible, multi-format waveform monitors makes its European debut at this year’s IBC. The WFM700 addresses the growing market of digital signal monitoring and measurement requirements, including those for high-definition broadcasting and content creation. The innovative product won Pick of Show at NAB 2001.
Broadcasters and cable providers needing to maximise revenues and profitability by effectively balancing network infrastructure costs against picture quality will find new MPEG solutions from Tektronix at IBC. The PQA300 Picture Quality Analyser, used for objective analysis of video quality, will also be on display for the first time in Europe.
