BOYLE LINES-UP FOR BBC2 DV DRAMAS

BBC2 Controller, Jane Root, has commissioned a slate of low-cost single DV dramas.
Root has ordered six of the one-off dramas, which will be of varying lengths, from different areas of the BBC.
In addition to Boyle, Root has signed up Dominic Savage and Edmund Coultard to direct two of the DV single dramas each, with budgets in the £250,000-£500,000 range.
The dramas have been ordered for next year, and Root said they were likely to be scheduled separately, rather than broadcast as a series.
Boyle’s films will be executive produced by Hilary Salmon.
David Thompson is overseeing Savage’s contributions, while Coultard’s dramas have been commissioned through BBC Wales.
