Internet Dramas Go To Public Vote

An innovative Internet-based drama series on the Irish TV station RTÉ is going to a public vote today.
Voting closes at 3pm on Monday 22 March when the series with the least number of votes will be disqualified and the top three series as voted by the public will be re-commissioned for a fourth episode.
All four new episodes of StoryLand, the web drama series in which the public decide what they want to see more of, have already been live on www.rte.ie/storyland
Among those appearing in the new episodes online now are Leigh Arnold (The Clinic), who stars as a queen in futuristic vampire thriller Mariana, Keith McErlean (Raw) who stars as the accident prone architect turned butcher in Butchers, and Dragons' Den's Gavin Duffy who gives some less than welcome advice to the Zombie Bashers.
Meanwhile, We Own the Streets follows the undefinable talents of living-room music producer, free-runner and free spirit, XL.
These four dramas were selected from an open competition in which aspiring and experienced programme makers were invited to make pitches for a six-part drama series to be webcast on RTÉ.ie that saw almost 140 projects being submitted.
The public can now vote for their favourite and decide which series will be run again to make another episode.
Hardy Bucks, last year's Storyland winners, achieved over two million hits online and is currently developing a television series for RTÉ Drama.
See: www.rte.ie/storyland for further details.
