root6 invite Broadcast Live attendees to ‘talk tapeless’

At this year’s Broadcast Live, reseller root6 will demonstrate two workflows using integrated best-of-breed technologies.
The first is for broadcasters, production companies, post facilities and corporates wanting to benefit from the advantages of tapeless production, while the second relates to high-end HD TV drama and Digital Intermediate work.
All aspects of tapeless production will be covered including acquisition, with logging and asset management demonstrated using Proximity Artbox. The latest versions of Apple and Avid editing, compositing and finishing tools will be incorporated and file transcoding and secure distribution will be handled courtesy of ContentAgent-XR. All the kit will be shown running on an ‘affordable’ Terrablock Storage Area Network.
The HD TV and Digital Intermediate demonstration with harness the 4K realtime capabilities of DVS-SAN with DVS Clipster used for conforming 2K/4K data. Baselight realtime 4K grading, MTI Correct digital film restoration and Avid Symphony Nitris complete this powerful arsenal of high-end tools, with ContentAgent-XR providing the transcoding of high resolution files for viewing, editing, and secure distribution with DRM.
