COMMUNITY CHANNEL LAUNCHED ON SKY

THE MEDIA Trust's Community Channel, the UK television channel dedicated to promoting the work of the charity and voluntary sector, is all set for transmission on Sky Digital this September.
The first 20 hrs of programming, featuring 60 charities, have already been recorded. With the channel being broadcast initially on Sky digital, it is hoped it will be made available on both digital cable and digital terrestrial.
A spokesperson for Media Trust said: “The channel is there to inspire viewers to get involved, whether through the donation of time or money, by making a purchase to benefit charity or by setting up their own group.”
