Zone Vision launches bespoke fantasy channel on SKY Italia

Zone Vision Networks is set to launch a brand new entertainment channel on the SKY platform in Italy.
The tailor-made channel will air on SKY Italia from May 15 2006 and will feature a raft of diverse programming. Targeted towards a mixed 16 - 45 year old demographic, Zone Fantasy will focus on horror, fantasy adventure and science fiction genres and will transmit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Daytime will feature adventure, action, science fiction and suspense programming, with the late night portion of the schedule running late night horror movies and series.
Titles confirmed so far include 'Night of the Living Dead', one of the most influential and famous horror movies of all time; 'Hills Have Eyes II', the 1985 Wes Craven directed sequel to the original 1977 movie; 'Heaven’s Burning' starring Russell Crowe; fantasy series 'The Highlander', and 'Around the World in 80 Days' starring Pierce Brosnan and including cameo roles from Peter Ustinov, Roddy McDowell and Robert Wagner.
Tanya Gugenheim, Chief Business Development and New Media Officer, Zone
Vision Networks, said: "We are delighted to be launching this new channel
on air in Italy. The channel has been designed to exactly fit the potential
audience and, working this way with a carrier such as SKY Italia, means that
we can really schedule our programming to work in the most advantageous way
for viewers and advertisers alike. We look forward to developing more
bespoke channels in other parts of the world."
