DGP complete Gorillaz DVD

DGP Digital have completed the authoring of a cutting edge DVD for animated four-piece, Gorillaz.
This fully interactive DVD gives unprecedented access to the murky world of Murdoc, Noodle, 2D and Russel, enabling viewers to explore the multi-storeyed building ‘Kong Studios’, which is their home, in full 3D. This two disc set, entitled 'Gorillaz: Phase One Celebrity Take Down', will be available on general release on November 18.
DGP were commissioned to produce the DVD by award winning designers Zombie Flesheaters, who have brought to life the Gorillaz world with specially generated 3D graphics throughout.
The DVD exploits the full capacities of the format, with the interactive experience resembling a video game, and a non-linear narrative. All the previously seen content has enhanced video and audio, with every new element, including transitions and 3D menus.
The sound has been remixed for DVD in 5.1, with the option to select the enhanced version or the original album mix.
Each of the Gorillaz promo videos can be viewed in three stages; the storyboard, with a stripped down audio track, the animatic with added effects and the fully cinematic film with full 5.1 audio.
