AVS GRAPHICS AND MEDIA LAUNCH SCENECHANGE

AVS Graphics and Media, developers and marketers of broadcast and professional equipment have launched their new video logging solution called SceneChange at IBC 2000.
SceneChange uses a capture card to introduce images onto the system from video tape or video feeds. The images represent scene changes which are then logged and displayed on screen.
AVS General Manager Stephen Chidgey said: “Using SceneChange not only enables operators to create a detailed list very quickly, they can also print this off or email it to key contacts at the touch of a button.”
With SceneChange, the operator can also set the sensitivity threshold of a piece of video to enable more frequent logs to be taken of an action film sequence, where the picture is constantly changing, than of, for example, a news reader delivering the news.
AVS plans to offer SceneChange both as a standalone system and as part of a package together with its Multi Browse solution.
