Film London celebrate their second anniversary

Film London, the capital’s film and media agency, is celebrating the second anniversary of its launch at its new Shoreditch home.
Adrian Wootton, CEO of Film London, said: “We are delighted to arrive at this milestone in our new home. Over the past two years we feel very positive that all facets of the industry in London have developed significantly. Location shoots are up by 30% and a host of new industrial, cultural and educational projects have been initiated across the capital. We still have much more to achieve, but as we look to the future I want to thank our many partners and supporters for helping us accomplish so much in such a short period of time.”
The screen industries are worth £13.6 billion a year to the London economy. Last year in the capital there were 12,655 shooting days, over 70 film festivals, and London accounted for a quarter of all UK cinema admissions. (CD/CL)
