Flextech acquires Sumo world series

NBD TV, one of the UK's leading entertainment television distributors, has sold two 90 minute specials and the 26 x 60 minute sports entertainment series ‘World S.U.M.O. Challenge Tour’ to Flextech in the UK.
Flextech will broadcast the series and the specials in the summer on its Challenge Channel.
World S.U.M.O. Challenge Tour is a fascinating entertainment series where world-class heavyweight Sumo wrestlers from around the world clash in the most prestigious international Sumo tour ever conducted. Countries to be visited in the 2006 world tour will include USA, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Hungary, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Chile and Brazil among many others.
Wrestlers taking part in World S.U.M.O. Challenge Tour, which is sanctioned by the newly formed World Sumo League, will originate from Japan, Western and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and the USA.
The TV specials that Flextech has acquired include the one-off event ‘World S.U.M.O. Challenge - Battle of the Giants’, filmed at Madison Square Garden, New York City in Late October.
