TWO WAY TV HIRES SMALL WITH SATELLITE BRIEF

SIMON Small has joined Two Way TV to co-ordinate the launch of the interactive games and entertainment channel on satellite in the UK.
Small joins directly from interactive media company Digital Octopus where he was Vice President of New Media Production.
As well as producing a wide range of other interactive sports programming for Sky Sports, including football, cricket and golf, Small was also closely involved on the technology side. Small said: “There are so many elements to keep track of when producing live interactive television that you need a strong team around you, as I had at Sky Sports Active and will have again at Two Way TV. You have to marry content needs with the technology.”
Small has spoken at numerous international conferences about interactive television, often alongside Two Way TV.
Jean de Fougerolles, Two Way TV Head of International Sales and Development, said: “Simon was one of the first people to be involved in launching interactivity on broadcast television and has an impressive track record. Launching Two Way TV on satellite is a key objective of ours and Simon has the hands-on experience that will bring all the pieces together as we move towards that goal in the coming months.”
