REM DOCUMENTARY RAINDANCE PREMIERE

FIRST time directors, Andy Cronk and Deborah Hogan of Lonely Goat, a company that works on ideas for ads, television, film and the internet, have achieved a coup with footage from REM’s UP tour.
The resulting REM documentary ‘A Stirling Performance’ will premiere at Raindance in London on October 17 at the Metro Cinema, Rupert Street, Soho.
The documentary came about following a five line fax to a European festival, where REM were playing two weeks before the shoot began. The project gained support from REM, their band's management, Stirling residents and the media.
‘A Stirling Performance’ takes a look at the rock band's tour, told from the perspective of the town where they played.
The documentary reveals the preparation needed to get the concert off the ground, the effect it has on the everyday life of the locals, and ofers an insight into REM’s personal view of the town.
