Fleetwood Mobiles tops the charts

Fleetwood Mobiles has topped the UK Music DVD chart with the first release to be mixed and mastered at its new Middlesex post production facility.
James Blunt’s ‘Chasing Time – The Bedlam Sessions’ went straight to No.1 after Atlantic Records released it on February 13. The DVD features footage of Blunt’s special live concert at the BBC in November 2005, plus videos for his recent singles ‘Wisemen’, ‘High’, ‘Goodbye My Lover’ and ‘You’re Beautiful’. Also included is a bonus CD featuring a live concert recorded in Dingle, County Kerry, last December.
Fleetwood Mobiles was given the task of mixing and mastering the multitracks from the Dingle gig. The project was carried out at the company’s new headquarters in Denham, which incorporates facilities for audio post-production. Fleetwood’s Tim Summerhayes produced the mix, while in-house engineer Dave O’Carroll handled the mastering.
“The entire project took just over a week to complete,” Tim Summerhayes said. “We used our secure FTP site to send rough mixes to the record company for approval, which worked really well because it saved everyone a lot of time. It also allowed us to get valuable feedback from James and his A&R team while the mix was in progress.”
