Mixed Reception For New Indiana Jones Movie

The return of Indiana Jones to the big screen after an absence of nearly twenty years has been greeted by a mixed reception from film critics.
'Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull', the fourth installment in the hit series, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday night.
The movie, which is directed by Steven Spielberg, sees Jones (Harrison Ford) team up with Karen Allen, his co-star from the first movie, 1981's 'Raiders Of The Lost Ark'.
The film, which was produced by George Lucas, also co-stars Cate Blanchett, Shia LaBeouf, Ray Winstone and John Hurt.
There had been a huge amount of negative press on the internet prior to the film's Cannes' premiere, but the reviews so far have been mixed, with some critics giving a positive response, while others have been somewhat less forthcoming with their praise.
Speaking to Reuters at the festival, star Harrison Ford said that he did not read reviews and stressed that it was the movie-going public's response to the film which mattered and not the critics' opinions.
Cinema-goers will get to judge for themselves when 'Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull' opens in cinemas nationwide on Thursday, May 22.
