PACE EXTEND DIGITAL TELEVISION SUPPORT

Pace Micro Technology have appointed Laurie Crofts as their General Manager of Customer Support in order to extend their role in digital television deployments with international broadcast and network operator clients.
Utilising Pace’s experience in digital television technology, Crofts will create tailored support packages that will enable clients to maximise their investment in Pace’s digital television technology.
Crofts, who joins Pace from Motorola, will work with Pace’s clients and research and development teams to widen the scope of Pace ‘added-value’ services. These will range from strategic advice, project management, service management and existing service support operations.
Rob Fleming, Pace’s operations director, says: “Pace has unparalleled international experience in digital broadcasting. The digital set-top boxes or ‘home gateways’ that we create are highly complex products that have significant potential to deliver a wide range of services to the home and small office. Through our increased emphasis on customer support, we will extend our client relationships, enabling them develop new business opportunities that fully exploit the potential of this technology.”
Crofts will be based at Pace’s new engineering centre in Bracknell.
