GLEESON JOINS BBC BOARD OF GOVERNORS

DERMOT Gleeson has joined the BBC's Board of Governors, taking the post previously held by Adrian White whose appointment expires on October 31.
Sir Richard Eyre has also been re-appointed to the Board of Governors for a further four-year term.
Christopher Bland, BBC Chairman, said: “I am delighted about the new appointment and I welcome Dermot Gleeson to the board. He has a distinguished track record and wide experience of public service and communications. I am also very pleased that Sir Richard Eyre has been asked to serve as a Governor for an extended term.”
Gleeson is Chairman of MJ Gleeson Group and former Head of Home Affairs Section of the Conservative Research Department. Eyre is a member of the Programmes Complaints Appeals Committee.
