BBC Chairman of Governors resigns

BREAKING NEWS: The BBC has reported that its Chairman of Governors Gavyn Davies is to resign following blistering criticism of the corporation's procedures and management in today’s Hutton Report.
Mr Davies informed BBC Governors of his decision this afternoon, after taking a brief period to “consider his future.”
The BBC Governors are due to meet formally tomorrow to give "further consideration" to Lord Hutton's Report. The corporation has refused to make further comment until after that meeting.
