BBC shortlists three companies for facilities management supply

The BBC has chosen three companies to go through to the final stage of its procurement process to find a facilities management supplier for parts of its property portfolio.
This follows detailed evaluation of the six tenders received in January 2006.
Further detailed assessment of each company's service proposals will now take place. The shortlisted companies are: Carillion Services; Haden Building Management; and Johnson Controls.
The contract will be for five years with an option to extend for a further three years.
Carl Longworth, Head of Workplace Services, BBC, said: "The shortlist for facilities management services is derived from an incredibly strong field of tenders.
"Our thorough evaluation process has identified three highly respected companies who could all deliver these key services to the BBC.
"I look forward to working with all these companies in the coming weeks to select the BBC's new FM provider for London, Scotland and specialist services."
The facilities management procurement process was announced on 28 June 2005 and follows the restructuring of the BBC/Land Securities Trillium (LST) property partnership, announced on 12 May 2005.
Under this restructuring the BBC and LST are refocusing their relationship onto their joint property developments and LST will no longer provide facilities management services to the BBC.
The services being procured comprise facilities management for BBC buildings in London and Scotland and specialist facilities management services for all BBC properties across the UK.
