ARISTA HOLD STORY EDITOR WORKSHOP IN WALES
TRAINING organisation Arista are holding their first ever UK-based Story Editor Workshop in Wales on December 10 to 18 at the Trearddur Bay Hotel in Anglesey.
The intensive seven-day workshop will provide residential training for approximately 30 European film and television drama professionals, including writers, directors, producers and script editors.
The training will focus on transferable story editing and project development skills, which will benefit participant’s future projects. Providing a set of theoretical and technical tools for approaching projects, the workshop will focus on developing communication skills between writer and producer.
Sgrin, the media agency for Wales, are offering 12 subsidised places to participants who are either Welsh born or have been resident in Wales for the past two years.
The fee of £1,100 each covers the cost of tuition, course materials, text, accommodation and meals. Arista have secured several bursaries of £550, £500 and £400 from Skillset, IPTF and the British Council for Freelancers and independent producers.
Application and bursary forms for the workshop are available from Arista on tel. +44 (0)207 323 1775 or email arista@aristotle .co.uk. The deadline for applications is October 31 2000.
