Rushes unveils significant investment & expansion plans

Rushes, one of the UK's leading postproduction facilities and Ascent Media's premier and iconic commercials facility, have announced a programme of expansion and multi-million pound investment for 2006.
This strategic expansion and significant investment is part of Rushes plans to create greater capacity and a wider variety of creative expertise and experience. Rushes is doubling and upgrading its VFX capacity and welcoming key commercials and design talent from One Post in to their Old Compton Street building. One Post will continue to develop as a successful film centre focusing on DI work.
Rushes Managing Director Joce Capper said: "This is a great moment in our Rushes 30 year history. We have always maintained the company at a particular size, enabling us to react to the ever-changing market place. This investment brings us up to date with the requirements in the current market place. Our plans to be London's premier VFX facility are now underway. We have to provide our clients with the technology and speed that is essential to deliver flexible approaches and quicker turnarounds. This investment and expansion also provides us with the chance to create a unique and collaborative atmosphere and niche environment to work in."
Five brand new, state-of-the-art multi purpose suites have been commissioned and are due to be completed in April 2006. Equipped with the very latest technology from Autodesk/Discreet, the 10 new HD capable suites give Rushes a unique position as one of the most modern and powerful postproduction facilities. The new suites are fully integrated with Rushes expanding its Telecine and world-class 3D animation departments. The refurbishment comes hot on the heels of Rushes contemporary and urban roof garden renovation that was recently unveiled after months of refurbishment. The roof garden is just one of the many relaxing environments and will serve as an oasis of outdoor space in which clients can work and relax.
Capper added: "The next few months are going to be really very exciting, with most areas of the building being refurbished and rebuilt, doubling our capabilities. The team are inspired and energised by the plans we have unveiled and the multi-million pound investment. We will all working incredibly hard to make sure we have everything in place by April 2006."
