Rushes expansion sees wealth of new talent appointed
The major expansion programme at leading facility, Rushes Postproduction Limited, continues apace with the appointments of VFX Artists Roisin Dunstall, Martin Goodwin and Richard White and Senior Producers Toby Abbott, Ali Wendt, Emma Watterson and Debby Eden.
Rushes have also announced the addition to their creative roster of a Motion Control Studio based in Wardour Street and managed by cameraman John Wenman.
These new recruits will be joining some of the most experienced operators in the industry, including 3D expert, Jonathan Privett, Telecine guru Adrian Seery and master of VFX Paul Hannaford and enhancing an already exceptional postproduction team.
Rushes are investing over £2 million in a huge and ongoing expansion of the facility. The project will capitalise on the strength of the existing Rushes brand, reinforcing what has become an iconic Soho facility since its inception nearly 30 years ago. The money has so far been invested in five brand new ‘state of the art’ suites as well as updating six existing suites with the most advanced technology on the market.
At the end of the refurbishment, Rushes VFX will have doubled in capacity and have the best equipment and talent available.
Joce Capper, Rushes’ Managing Director, said: “Rushes will be even better equipped to take on any challenge our clients share with us - from niche design projects to a large scale, effects-heavy commercials. That’s an absolute necessity in this market place; we need to be as creative and flexible as possible. We are continuing to diversify our talent pool with the best people around - recruitment of talented creatives is essential and ongoing.”
Roisin Dunstall has gained a number of Golds at the Promax Awards and has an extensive list of design clients and channel branding credits. She joins as Senior Designer and VFX Artist bringing a strong client following with her.
VFX Specialists Martin Goodwin and Richard White share a wealth of experience working with a huge range of clients in the areas of commercials, music promos, feature films and broadcast, including top agencies AMV, TBWA and DLKW, as well as the BBC.
Capper said: “I’m delighted that Martin is already on board and is continuing to service clients such as TBWA at the highest level. Martin and Richie are artists who do all they can to ensure clients are fully advised and jobs are creatively brought in on time and budget. They find solutions, make the whole process seamless and spend as much time as possible prepping and planning ahead. I’m delighted he and Richard are part of the team here.”
The formidable roll call of producing talent also joining Rushes bring with them comprehensive and wide-ranging experience in commercials, broadcast, music videos and branding – between them they have worked on campaigns for most major brands, as well as with broadcasters including the BBC, Discovery and Channel 5. Emma Watterson has six years experience as an animation producer and joins Rushes as Senior Producer, along with Ali Wendt and Debby Eden. Toby Abbott joins as Executive Producer.
Capper added: “It’s a great time of change at Rushes. Through the expansion we will continue to be excellent at paying attention to the detail of our clients work and putting their needs first. To have the opportunity to expand our team with such experienced Producers is a fantastic addition to the existing team.”
