NTL EXPAND TRAVEL CHANNEL WITH BRAND NAMES

NTL have signed up UK travel companies Thomas Cook, Co-op Travelcare and Go airlines for their interactive Travel Channel.
The deal with NTL's new partners will enable viewers to find the best in bargain flights, holiday packages, hotels and travel insurance. Additionally viewers will be able to hire cars, book last minute bargains and there will be special daily bargain offers.
Andy Crossley, Commercial Director for NTL’s interactive group, said: “The addition of the household brand names Thomas Cook, Go airlines and Travelcare to our interactive Travel Channel enables us to broaden our range of choice for customers even further. As these partners are high profile established players in the travel market, we feel that they are ideally placed to deliver value to NTL’s interactive subscribers.”
Go airlines, the first low cost flight operator on the channel, will offer cheap flights to a variety of domestic and continental European destinations using ‘ticketless’ online booking through the TV.
Thomas Cook will provide NTL subscribers with the ability to choose holidays, flights, hotels and car hire as well as buy foreign currency from their foreign exchange service.
Travelcare’s wide range of products completes the total travel package on the Travel Channel and they will offer a broad selection of package holidays both to the UK and worldwide, plus late availability deals, flights, city breaks and ski holidays. (CD)
