SONY ROADSHOW PROJECTS DIGITAL INDUSTRY
SONY Broadcast and Professional UK in association with Digital Projection, Apple UK and other media partners are hosting a five-venue roadshow throughout November and December
The joint roadshow commenced in London at Digital Media World on November 16 it will then travel to Glasgow on November 23, Manchester November 29, Dublin December 7 and Bristol on December 12.
Rob Newton, Head of the Product Market Group at Sony Broadcast and Professional UK, said: “No single issue will have such a profound and far reaching effect as the impact of new digital technologies on the broadcast and professional video industries. The future is never certain but through attending these seminars people will hear some of the best minds in Britain talking about broadcast market dynamics. It will provide a valuable insight to a process that is set to revolutionise the way we work.”
Each seminar comprises four 60-minute sessions looking at the influence of digital technology on how companies re-purpose and re-package media content in order to create new revenue streams and what the future technology and commercial landscape will look like in an ‘anycast’ world.
The seminars will investigate 24p High Definition production and the impact this technology is having on high definition television, commercials and feature film production.
The final session of each seminar will move to a local cinema where delegates will be able to compare digitally projected High Definition images and material originated on HD and transferred back to 35mm film. (CMcL)
