ANVIL POST DUBS TV RATINGS WINNERS

News Image
ANVIL Post production of Denham, UK, now a division of Vidfilm, have made a considerable contribution to the current high-end drama output of both the BBC and ITV for their Autumn schedules.
Equipped with two SSL Avant digital film consoles, both with 96 inputs and
96 predub channels, Anvil’s two large feature film and television dubbing theatres are hard at work on a number of high-profile TV projects.
Technical Manager, Rupert Scrivener, said: “The investment in new technology at Anvil has been substantial and we are now seeing the rewards. With such a highly-respected and experienced team, and now as part of Vidfilm International Digital, we can offer clients a one-stop solution to their film or television audio finishing.”
The final episode of Inspector Morse ‘The Remorseful Day’ (pictured left) screened on Carlton in November, was completed at Anvil earlier in the summer. Other current ratings winners dubbed at Anvil include ‘Midsomer Murders’ and ‘Close and True’, both for ITV and ‘The Scarlet Pimpernel’ and ‘Hope & Glory’ for the BBC.
Upcoming productions include popular prime-time favourites, ‘Poirot’ and ‘Kavanagh QC’. Recently Anvil expanded its range of services by opening a DVD Encoding and
Authoring Centre, adjoined by a new 5.1 DVD mixing room.
