Channel 4 board appointment terms extended

The ITC have extended the terms of appointment for two non-executive members of the Channel 4 Board.
Barry Cox (Deputy Chairman of the Board) and Robin Miller were appointed in January 1999 and were due to conclude their service on the Board in January 2003. ITC Chairman Sir Robin Biggam has now extended their terms by two years, until January 31 2005.
Sir Robin said: "Barry and Robin have made an excellent contribution to the Channel 4 Board and I am delighted that they have agreed to continue for the next two years. During a period of major change in broadcasting, their continued involvement will be particularly valuable to Channel 4".
The ITC appoints non-executive members of the Channel 4 Board with the agreement of the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport. The Secretary of State was consulted and agreed to the extension of these appointments.
