Red announces appointment to its Board of Directors

Red, the Soho-based visual effects and post-production facility, have announced the appointment of Gary Szabo to its board as Creative Director.
Mr Szabo, who has been with Red since March 2000 takes up his board seat with immediate effect. The company have said that this appointment "emphases the importance that Red attaches to the creative side of the business".
Mr Szabo is currently head of Telecine at Red and under the remit of his responsibilities on the board he will oversee and direct the creative branding that is associated with Red and aid in the business development of the company.
Gary joined Red from Rushes and prior to that he worked at Framestore and is one of London's leading telecine colourists. He has worked in the post-production industry for over 12 years and on many award-winning commercials, including Blackcurrant Tango, VW, Boddingtons, Guinness, Fosters and British Airways.
He joins other board members, including Joint Managing Directors, Carl Grinter and Stephen Luther, as well as Technical Director Simon Leppington. Non-executive board members include Robin Azis, CEO of HHCL and chairman Dick Hawkes.
Stephen Luther, Joint Managing Director at Red, said: "Having Gary join the board is a great addition to the Red business. We have seen Red grow significantly in the past few years and are intent on continuing with this expansion. The need for a creative input at Board level has become extremely important and having someone like Gary will be a great asset for us."
Red Post Production specialises in high-end effects, compositing, design and animation along with creative colour correction for commercials and feature films.
Red-i offers interactive services for moving image media, including DVD authoring, video streaming, web hosting and interactive TV solutions. Red-i provides a cost-effective production service for corporate marketing departments, production companies, advertising agencies and TV companies.
