SSL’s C100 Digital Broadcast Console proves popular

Solid State Logic (SSL) has announced continued strong market response to the popular C100 Digital Broadcast Console, having recently received five orders from broadcast television networks.
In addition, SSL has received eight new console orders from local television stations. This news is testament to the C100’s widespread acceptance, based on its innovative design, robust performance and broadcast specific features.
Recent broadcast network installations include a C140 in July for Comedy Central’s multiple Emmy Awarding winning show ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ located at NEP’s Studio 52 in New York City; a C140 for ABC TV’s ‘The View’ for Studio TV24 in New York City; a C140 for CBS TV’s ‘The Late Show with Craig Ferguson’, shot at CBS Television City’s Studio 58 in Los Angeles; and Boston’s New England Sports Network’s two C132 console order for the coverage of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins.
In related broadcast news, Trinity Broadcast Network recently installed an SSL C248 in their Costa Mesa, CA facility. The console will primarily handle live television and post production operations for the TBN show called, “Praise the Lord,” which is in 38 countries.
The C100 is a small footprint, assignable console, specifically designed for on-air studio applications, such as live news & sports and live-to tape talk & game shows, where fast and efficient handling of sources and destinations are the most important aspects of the audio operator’s role. The transition to digital broadcast is fully addressed by the C100 Digital Broadcast Console, delivering the ultimate in operational efficiency in a cost-effective scalable solution.
The addition of new software upgrades makes the C100 the most comprehensive and robust digital broadcast console available for the broadcast industry offering the remarkable redundancy capabilities so necessary for live broadcast situations.
