A CHANCE TO ‘GETOUTTHERE’ AND MAKE FILMS?
‘GETOUTTHERE’, BT’s online talent platform have teamed up with video games outfit Eidos to promote budding filmmakers.
The UK-based games distributor will select films from the site for inclusion on a special ‘Getoutthere’ and Eidos video compilation.
The films will be used as visuals interspersed with images from Eidos games. Videos will then be distributed to 5000 different pubs, clubs and venues across the UK, every quarter from December. Eidos will contact selected filmmakers directly.
‘Getoutthere’ is dedicated to showcasing the best in unsigned film and music talent. Each month, visitors to the site are invited to upload their film, which is judged by a well-known name in the industry.
Film judges have included Christopher Eccleston (Shallow Grave), Kevin Mc Donald (Gone in 60 Seconds) and Adrian Lester (Primary Colours).
The judge for December is advertising guru Trevor Beattie, the Creative Director at agency TBWA. Beattie’s brief for entrants is to create an ad to launch a website. This comes in response to the widespread criticism of dot.com advertising in the media and marketing press.
The winner of the competition will have the opportunity to go on set with Beattie on his next television-advertising shoot.
So go on ‘Getoutthere’ visit www.getoutthere.bt.com for further details.
