GMTV SET TO LAUNCH NEW WEBSITE

GMTV have partnered with Energis, the e-business and telecommunications company, to use the Streamwave media streaming technology, which will be supplied by Energis Squared, the internet and e-business arm of Energis.
Streamwave will allow viewers instant access from the website to video clips of the GMTV headline stories, interviews and weather, on a daily basis, without the need to download media players and plug-ins.
GMTV’s Web Editor, Gareth Herinex, said: “We believe our redesign and new features will cement our position as Britain’s leading commercial television programme website. The new site will give people the experience, 24 hours a day.”
An additional partnership with information site, I-find, run by a London-based private internet consultant, will offer users a directory of useful links to other online services, including maps, travel, flight arrivals and departures, finance and entertainment information.
GMTV’s revamped website at www.gmtv.co.uk is set to launch on December 4.
