S4C HOLD OPEN MEETING IN CARDIFF

THE Chair of S4C Authority, Elan Closs Stephens, hosted an Open Meeting at which viewers had the chance to talk with S4C’s top executives.
Many viewers in Cardiff and the surrounding areas took the opportunity to talk with Elan, other members of S4C’s Authority, and with Huw Jones, S4C’s Chief Executive.
Prys Daffydd, Public Relations Officer of S4C, said: “We hold four of these Open Meetings every year. It gives us a chance to get the publics opinion on broadcasting and we also get a lot of feedback from these events. The audience take part in the debates and share their opinions to us may it be technical or about specific programmes that are being broadcast.”
Approximately 50 people attended the event and they asked questions to the panel on the future of public service broadcasting in Wales and beyond, they gave their views about specific programmes and exchanged there opinions on Welsh language programmes that are screened on S4C.
The next Open Meeting is due to be held in March although the venue has yet to be confirmed.
