Lightworks moves to media-centric Hammersmith

Lightworks has announced that its development team has relocated to a spacious R&D, demo and training facility in Hammersmith, the heart of London’s media business district.
Close to Soho, Europe’s creative media centre, and just west of London, Lightworks’ new Hammersmith address places the Lightworks development and technical support team in a more accessible location to a number of key clients and major broadcast companies.
“Hammersmith is a much more central position for us,” said Costa Nickols, Head of Product Management for Lightworks. “We now have a modern, spacious and conveniently located facility with multiple benefits: it provides an inspiring development and support environment for the engineers who make Lightworks what it is, while also making us more physically convenient to our clients, dealers and distributors.”
At 1a Hammersmith Broadway, Lightworks shares an address with several corporate and media giants. The new office is near the Hammersmith tube station with better accessibility to airports and the support of London’s industrial infrastructure which offers easier driving, parking, bus and tube access outside London’s congestion zone.
All Lightworks UK demos and dealer meetings are now held in the new Hammersmith office as well as training and refresher courses on the Lightworks NLE technologies which now includes the breakthrough multi-resolution editing system, Alacrity MR. Lightworks provides up to a full day of training at Hammersmith for dealers, partners and editors wishing to learn or brush up on their skills – and for more intense instruction, works to schedule courses through societies such as the London Film School and the National Film and Television School.
