Lightworks Introduces New Options For Education

Lightworks is offering new educational pricing for schools and colleges to go with the release of their new editing Software Version 1.3 for Softworks.
Lightworks Version 1.3 includes many new features and advances to offer faster and easier editing for video and film production. With realtime mixed format editing and native support for avi, mxf and quicktime, Lightwork 1.3 offers easy integration in the world of open file transfers.
Supported formats include HDV, XDCam and P2. Also supported for interchange are OMF, AAF, DPX sequences.
Building on Lightworks' proven multi-seat editing 1.3's full Networking support for simply sharing projects now supports more and larger volumes. This allows easy integration with very large storage arrays over 1000TBytes. It also fits well with the education area where large networked systems are required too easily and flexibily accommodate large numbers of students.
Softworks is available in two versions. The simpler Softworks LE provides all the standard editing tools for fast and effective creation but without advanced effects or plug in support. Softworks full version comes with built in 3D effects, advanced colour correction, Titlemotion CG/tilting and full plug-in support.
Special educational pricing is available now to schools and colleges on multi-seat packages for Softworks LE and the full Softworks package. Both are available as software only or as ready built pre-configured systems.
