Pinnacle StreamFactory version 2.5 now available

Pinnacle Systems have announced the immediate availability of StreamFactory version 2.5, featuring MPEG-4 and RealNetworks' RealVideo 9 encoding for delivering streaming video to web and wireless devices.
The addition of standards-based MPEG-4 encoding in version 2.5 enables StreamFactory to deliver live and Video-on-Demand content that is viewable on an increasing number of wireless devices, including mobile phones and PDAs.
The new encoding capability is available from within the easy-to-use StreamFactory HTML interface alongside support for RealNetworks RealVideo 9, and Microsoft Windows Media formats. With StreamFactory's MultiStream capability users can encode up to four simultaneous streams in any combination of MPEG-4, RealVideo, Windows Media, and QuickTime formats.
"MPEG-4 is the global standard that enables the delivery of video and audio content that consumers are demanding for today's new mobile devices," said Ed Knapp, PacketVideo Chief Technology Officer. "The integration of PacketVideo's MPEG-4 technology with Pinnacle's StreamFactory professional-grade encoding system gives mobile content and service providers a robust solution that will drive adoption of this exciting new medium."
