Leader Instruments announces expansion of signal generator
Leader Instruments has announced a major expansion in the versatility of its LT443D modular multi-format signal generator.
Modules can now be added or changed by LT443D users instead of requiring factory installation. This allows the instrument to be reconfigured in the field, greatly extending its operational flexibility.
The LT443D is also now equipped to capture and generate individual broadcast station logos as part of its test pattern output. Logos are imported as PC graphics in bitmap format, presized according to the required design and display resolution. This is a feature of the new LT443D chassis and does not require a separate plug-in module. Graphic control is via supplied software compatible with Microsoft Windows.
Leader's LT4443D is supported by seven modules covering a wide range of digital and analogue video and audio applications.
Introduced in 2003, the LT443D is based on a 1U mainframe housing up to four plug-in modules. It comprises a main signal generator, controller and power supply unit. A 20 character dual-line backlit LCD provides direct readout of control parameters in conjunction with dedicated front-panel pushbuttons.
A Compact Flash memory card allows measurement parameters to be stored in the LT443D mainframe for local recall or transfer to other LT443D-equipped locations.
The generator is fully Ethernet compatible, enabling remote operation and genlock status monitoring.
A 27 MHz reference clock is incorporated. Plug-in modules can be individually assigned to provided simultaneous HD outputs at 74.25 and 74.25/1.001 Mhz respectively.
