BRIGHT PROSPECTS AT AVID MASTERCLASS

A LUCKY FEW will be advancing their editing prospects at the Avid Master Editor Workshop, which is to be held on January 14 to 19, 2001 on the beautiful shores of Singer Island, Palm Beach County, Florida.
This intensive five-day workshop offers a select group of experienced editors a concentrated learning environment focusing on ways to improve technical proficiency and enhance the creative application of Avid Media Composer system capabilities. Highly regarded guest speakers and industry professionals will share their unique approaches to the art and technique of editing, focusing on the innovative use of non-linear editing in the film and television industry.
Avid try to keep the numbers attending the Avid Master Editor Workshop to around 30 participants as this creates a more intimate learning situation. The ‘students’ are experienced editors, with an average of three years editing on Avid Media Composer systems and more than five years total editing.
Address the needs of experienced editors, the Avid Master Editor Workshop provides advanced instruction in technical Avid editing skills and includes guest speakers that focus on creative techniques. Avid senior instructors, product designers, and specialists lecture and give demonstrations on topics pertinent to experienced editors.
AVID say that this year's workshop has been updated to provide participants with even more cutting edge information in the most interactive format yet.
