Avid Technology have announced the worldwide availability of Avid|DS HD.
The Avid|DS.HD is the industry’s first non-linear production system for conforming and finishing projects at multiple uncompressed HDTV and standard definition formats. As with the Avid|DS system, Avid|DS HD provides a complete range of seamlessly integrated picture and audio editing, compositing, paint, animation, character generation and project management tools, all of which are instantly available at all times to digital artists and editors.

Formats supported by the Avid|DS HD system include: 720p, 1080i, 1080p, as well as PAL and NTSC standard definition formats at 24, 25, 29.97 and 30 fps. (CD)
