ASPEN LAUNCH NEW POWER PRODUCT RANGE

ASPEN Electronics, USA, the manufacturers of NiMH and NiCD batteries, ROQ Series Chargers/Dischargers and Power Units, have introduced a new range of products and accessories.
The new products, available from Aspen (Europe) Ltd, situated 15 miles west of Central London, include the PSM160Pro, an on board 60W 12V AC Adapter featuring direct camera connection with standard battery mounts including Anton Bauer, Gold Mount, and the Sony V Lock mount.
With direct electrical “hot shoe” connection and additional 4 pin XLR power output for on-camera light while powering the camera, the PSM160Pro uses seven forms of over current circuit protection and is RF shielded making it an extremely clean power source. Weighing just over 2.5lbs, the unit is compatible with all international AC power input voltages from 90-240VAC at 50 or 60 Hz.
Also being launched is the new camera lighting accessory, the Light Tuner. With its built in microprocessor that automatically senses and compensates for declining battery voltage, the Light Tuner is rated for bulbs up to 55W and provides a visual feedback when the light is tuned correctly for 12V even when using a 14.4V battery source. Flashing LED’s warn when the battery approaches the end of its discharge and has a separate shut off switch to allow saving battery power during stand by mode.
A range of Sony compatible batteries and chargers is also being launched at VideoForum in February.
