CREATIVITY MEETS TECHNOLOGY AT PRODUCTION SHOW

THE PRODUCTION Show 2001 have announced that the core theme of this year’s landmark tenth anniversary event is ‘Where Creativity Meets Technology’.
Bringing together technicians and craftspeople from television, film and commercials production, post-production, creativity and output, the overall aim of The Production Show, which runs from March 13 to 15 at the National Hall, Olympia, is to reflect the changes affecting the industry and also to recognise the need for traditionally opposite working areas of creativity and technology.
Toby Wand, Event Director, said: “ The Production Show 2001 will be the most vibrant and progressive business event for the production industry in the UK. It is a showcase for all aspects of the moving picture production business – television, commercials, film, convergent media and corporate communications. As such, it will provide the key opportunity in the next year or broadcast and production companies to meet, communicate and do business with new and exciting customers.”
Leading technology vendors including Sony, Panasonic, Avid, JVC, Panasonic and Philips Broadcast will take centre stage at the show. Key industry figures are also lined up as speakers and panellists for the conference including Kevin Lygo, Head of Entertainment at Channel 4, Peter Salmon, Director of Sport at the BBC, Tim Gardam, Director of Programmes Channel 4 and Brian Barwick, Controller of Network Sports ITV.
At this year’s conference over 10,000 attendees are expected visit the show.
