SOLID STATE LOGIC INTRODUCE ‘CLASSIC’ FINISH

SOLID State Logic (SSL), manufacturers of professional analogue and digital audio consoles, have announced the introduction of a special ‘Classic’ configuration, the SL 4000.
The ‘Classic’ designation includes the latest sonic improvements of the G+ combined with a return to the original appearance of the E Series, with its black ‘Raven’ finish.
The console now boasts SSL’s combination of both moving fader and VCA-based automation, Ultimation, as a standard feature, alongside Total Recall technology.
LCR panning, additional aux busses, sidechain and control linking of multiple outputs extend the capabilities of the console in meeting the demanding requirements of today’s multi-channel production techniques. Extended multitrack and output routing assist the recording process, while Stereo AFL, True Group Soloing and four patchable stereo faders increase the console’s potential for mix down.
The Classic is available in frame sizes from 48 to 64 channels, with a choice of E or G Series EQ configurations, plus options packages to extend multichannel capabilities and machine control requirements to the specific needs of individual customers. (CD)
