Rushes Telecine welcome Timpson to team
Rushes Telecine department, renowned for having one of the widest selection of Telecine facilities within Europe under one roof, have welcomed on board one of London’s top colourists, Marcus Timpson.
He will join the department’s existing team; Adrian Seery, Dom Aarons, Mark Gethin, Martin Southworth, Paul Arneil and specialist Telecine Producer Vittorio Giannini.
After gaining a BA in History from Bristol University in 1990, Marcus began work as a runner at Soho 601. He quickly discovered Telecine and loved the process instantly, swiftly moving up through the company to become a fully-fledged operator. In 1997, Marcus joined The Mill where he continued to establish himself as a sought after colourist, working on high profile commercials including, Levis, Smirnoff and Sainsburys with Jamie Oliver.
Rushes’ Director of Telecine, Adrian Seery, said: "Marcus’s passion for achieving a grade that brings clients back time and again is something that he shares with all the other Rushes colourists. We all place a high premium on our relationships with clients and working with them to create unique and innovative new looks."
Tim Royes, Director at RSA Films added; “When working with Marcus you get a lot more when you leave the session than when you first walked in. Whether it’s working on a commercial or a music video he’s got a great understanding of when to push the look or just enhance what I’ve shot. He’s been instrumental and vital to the work I’ve done to date and apart from this he has a great sense of humour and you’ll always enjoy your time spent with him.”
Rushes have a complete range of world leading equipment; C Reality, Spirit and Ursa Diamond. C Reality and Spirit are paired with the Da Vinci 2K colour corrector and are able to offer SD, HD & 2K Hi-Res transfers.
This not only offers the client more choice, but more importantly it creatively allows them enormous scope in achieving the best look possible for their production.
Although Rushes is known predominantly for their work in commercials and promos, more recently they have achieved great success in broadcast long-form work and feature films to HD.
