Rushes secure BBC long-form work

Rushes have announced that they have secured their first complete long-form work through the BBC for a new three-part series.
The 'Dancer's Body' is a three-part 50-minute landmark series for BBC2 with Deborah Bull, former prima ballerina with the Royal Ballet, narrating and also performing ballet sequences for the series.
The programmes are an attempt to illustrate the science behind the performance. New ballet arrangements have been commissioned for the series, which investigates how elements of the human brain and body work together to make the performance possible.
The series hopes to break new ground in creating a bridge between science and the performing arts, making the later accessible to a wide audience.
Computer graphics are intercut with live action and the Rushes 3D department will be creating a full skeleton, brain, muscles, tendons and internal organs, which will demonstrate the extraordinary suppleness, strength and agility of the dancer.
The series will be screened on BBC2 in the autumn.
