US distribution showcase opportunity for Irish directors

The Screen Directors Guild of Ireland in association with The DGA (Directors Guild of America) is offering an exciting opportunity for an Irish director to present a film as part of the US Director's Finder Series.
The purpose of the US Director's Finder Series is to spotlight undistributed, independent, low-budget feature films and their directors to the US film industry. The Irish slot for this event is supported by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, the Arts Council, the NIFTC and Screen Training Ireland.
The Directors’ Finder Series, initiated by the Independent Directors Committee of the DGA chaired by Steven Soderberg, has, since its inception, screened more than 75 independent films. Approximately a third of these films have gone on to secure distribution in the US. Participating filmmakers have directly acknowledged the Director's Finder Screening Series as providing the key screening which led to their films being picked up.
This award will enable the director to fly to the USA to present their film to invited agents, distributors, press and other industry professionals at a screening in a prestigious venue with digital sound, a high-end, studio calibre environment.
