THE FILM COUNCIL REAPPOINTS DIRECTORS

Culture Secretary Chris Smith has announced the reappointment of Duncan Kenworthy, Dawn Airey, Chris Auty and Paul Webster to the Film Council Board.
The Culture Secretary said: “I am delighted that Board members with such a wealth of experience and expertise have agreed to continue for a further term. These appointments will help to ensure continuity in the work of the Film Council, as it moves towards the second phase of its strategy.”
The Film Council was officially launched in May and is the Government’s main adviser on the development of film policy. It will be the channel for DCMS funding for film and will allocate in the region of £150 million over the next three years including a dedicated share of lottery resources for film.
