SKY CHIEF TO CHAIR CAMBRIDGE 2001

News Image
THE ROYAL Television Society have announced that BSkyB’s Chief Executive, Tony Ball, has been selected to chair this year’s Cambridge Convention.
The Convention will take place from September 13 to September 15 2001.
Ball said: “Cambridge is the most important forum in Britain for debating broadcasting issues and it is an honour to be invited to chair it. Next year the convention will give us the opportunity to assess three years of digital television in Britain, consider the new proposals for media regulation and evaluate experiences and opportunities abroad.”
Further details about the convention will be released from the RTS later this year.
BSkyB are to be the principle sponsors of the Convention, which runs every two years and is viewed as a key event in the broadcasting calendar.(CMcL)
