da Vinci 'Resolve' to demonstrate latest in DI digital mastering in London
Colourists and other related professionals are invited to attend demonstrations of Resolve™, da Vinci Systems' new digital mastering suite for digital intermediate (DI) applications, at the Cumberland Hotel in London from June 20-22.
Resolve's director of product design, David Catt, and colourist Blake Jones will present the demonstrations, which give an overview of Resolve's features and address DI workflows and procedures.
Hosted by da Vinci the demonstrations will be held in the Blue 8 Room of the Cumberland Hotel on Great Cumberland Place, W1A, every hour on the hour starting Monday, June 20, from noon through 5pm and on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am through 5pm. Additional da Vinci staff will be available to answer technical and commercial questions about Resolve.
Resolve combines da Vinci's Emmy award-winning image enhancement expertise and familiar interface with program-conforming tools designed specifically for the DI environment. This approach maximizes flexibility and speed while maintaining familiar da Vinci control panels. Resolve's open architecture allows users to browse and select image data from a LAN/SAN or local storage. After importing EDLs, Resolve conforms this material, adds in-context color enhancement, and produces a conformed master.
Acceleration with da Vinci's exclusive PowerPlant™ massive bit-processing programmable hardware allows real-time, multi-layered color correction on full film-resolution images, not just proxies. Images of mixed resolution up to 4K and beyond are handled with internal processing of 64 bits for YRGB and controlled from the node-type display. Corrections can be cascaded or added in parallel in the unique da Vinci fashion, making Resolve the leading solution for the growing digital intermediate market.
Individuals interested in attending the Resolve demonstrations at the Cumberland Hotel should contact Gerry Vickers at 44-7774-449-282 or email [email protected] for reservations.
