MOONSTONE INTERNATIONAL APPOINT NEW MD

MOONSTONE International, based in Edinburgh, have announced the appointment of Tara Halloran as Managing Director with effect from February 2001.
Halloran brings to Moonstone many years of experience working in the film and television sector in Ireland, and most recently she was Operations Manager at the national film training body Screen Training Ireland.
Claire Scally, who was the Managing Director of Moonstone International from 1997 is moving to Pact, where she is taking up the newly created position of New Media Executive, Nations and Regions.
John McGrath, Moonstone International’s Artistic Director, said: “While we are sad to see Claire move, as people do, I am delighted to welcome another Irish woman, Tara, whom I know well from her work at Screen Training Ireland. She brings a wealth of experience, great enthusiasm for the job, and the real Moonstone spirit. I hope she will have a long and happy time with us.”
Moonstone International was founded in 1997, in consultation with Sundance Institute with the shared aims of supporting and developing the work of independent screenwriters and directors of vision. Moonstone runs three Labs per year, two of them for Screenwriters and one for Filmmakers, which attract new and exciting writers and their projects, as well as established screenwriters and directors of the highest calibre to act as advisors.
