Christie Appoints New Director Of International Business Development

Christie, a global leader in visual solutions for business, entertainment and industry, has announced the appointment of George D. Scheckel, Jr. to the position of Director, International Business Development for the Entertainment Solutions business division.
The new position is part of a corporate expansion strategy to capitalise on the company's international and domestic growth in digital cinema. Scheckel will guide and influence business development efforts, identify new market opportunities for Digital Cinema and build deeper relationships with industry stakeholders in the exhibition and content distribution communities.
Scheckel was a key member of the management team at QuVIS (Quality Visual Information Systems) for the past 11 years, most recently as Vice President of Digital Cinema & Business Development. He joins Christie with extensive experience in all aspects of digital cinema pilots, products and rollouts, focusing on advancing digital imaging technology with movie studios and other key customers. He brings strong relationships with leading industry production, post-production and studio operations in addition to 21 years experience in sales management and service operations from the telecommunications industry.
