YES TELEVISION UNVEIL NEW DEALS AT MILIA 2001

YES Television, leading broadband solutions providers for interactive television based in London, returned to Milia 2001 to unveil a new slate of e-content deals for their Total Television service.
Milia 2001 is one of the top venues at which to sell and secure content, close deals, showcase new releases and explore new funding opportunities.
Yes Television are already deploying their full range of interactive services in several key markets around the world. They are preparing for a commercial roll-out later this year in Australia, Hong Kong and The Philippines, and are currently running services over BT ADSL lines in London and for eircom over ADSL in Dublin.
In the UK, new e-content partners who have signed up with Yes Television include: WH Smith; ValueDirect; asSeenonScreen; 1ski.com; TV Travel Shop; Dreamsquad; Communicopia; Assertahome and Jobchannel.
Yes Shop brings the latest of Internet shopping to the television, enabling customers to view, select and buy a wide range of goods, holidays and services 24-hours-a-day seven-days-a-week.
Poppy Mellor, Head of E-Commerce for Yes Television, said: “It is very exciting to return to Milia with such an extensive range of new e-content partners and with a service that is rolling out in a number of international markets. In Cannes this year, we will be looking to acquire more interactive games product for the Yes Games channel as well as more broadband learning content for the Learning Channel. We will also be looking to acquire further product for our joint ventures in Australia, Total Television Australia and Yes Television in Hong Kong.”
Offering real-time interactivity and control over viewing, Yes Television’s service provides true video on demand (VOD), which means that viewers can watch what they want, when they want. (CD)
