New Managing Director at VTR plc

The board of VTR plc has announced the appointment of Paul Tracey as its new Managing Director.
Formerly Corporate Development Director at VTR plc, Tracey takes up the helm following the retirement of founder, John Banks. The appointment, which is effective immediately, will see Tracey head up the Soho-based media services group, including principal operating divisions, VTR, blue and TMR.
“I’m delighted to succeed John in this role,” said Tracey. “He’s done a remarkable job in building VTR into the force it is today. The VTR Group is now the home for some of the best talent, facilities and clients in the industry. The management team will be working hard to ensure that the group delivers full value to our shareholders, clients and staff over the coming months and years.”
Tracey has worked with VTR for over 12 years. After starting his career in law and finance, he went on to form The AV Department, which was acquired by the VTR group and ultimately became blue post-production. Subsequent roles within the group have included managing director of The Machine Room (now TMR) and AMG (now the hive). Tracey has been a member of the VTR board since 1995.
